This young athlete maintains substantial social media presence
The young golfer will have multiple high-profile cheerleaders as she begins her professional golf debut on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to a former US president, was granted a sponsor's invitation to participate at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
The former president, a passionate golfer, possesses several international courses and regularly matches against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we have competitive games," she revealed.
The golfer shared that Trump, unable to come, told her: "Just don't get nervous."
"He essentially told me to play and enjoy myself," she continued.
"In my eyes, he's simply a normal grandpa. He can't make it for the tournament. He's occupied with world affairs, so he's rather occupied."
While still amateur, the golfer has participated in only three events in 2024 and has ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
However she can receive tips from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He is the best player globally," Kai stated.
"Furthermore, he's a superior person. He told me to go out there, have fun, and go with whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against multiple most prominent players in the sport at this tournament, featuring second-ranked Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that involving Kai exposes the sport to new audiences, particularly reaching the next generation.
The young star has a massive following and recently launched her own clothing and lifestyle company.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
