Tributes Pour In for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks following the shocking loss of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community continue to honor the duo.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt prepared to share openly about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has gone by that I can at last express my sorrow into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner made him fall in love. "Once we started passing more hours together I knew this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor posted behind-the-scenes footage from the film, remarking that he cannot recall "one day without laughter".

"This story is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. This is one of the many reasons he was the best person to direct it," Elwes continued.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, noting: "To say that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He ended with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a different piece, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved being with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the main character.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he comprehended the human predicament of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Restricted

This week, a Los Angeles court official decided to prevent the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, after an appeal from the local authorities.

A judicial mandate put a security hold on the investigation to prohibit the public release of "related notes, evidence and photographs" pertaining to the probe.

The relevant authority had already determined their deaths were the result of homicide, with a record noting the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Response and Criticism

After the killings, public individuals expressed varying responses.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, offering controversial statements that were broadly criticized by numerous individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his criticism to the detractors last week. Talking on his show, Rogan described the statements as "shocking" and implied they demonstrated a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan finished by suggesting that an adviser could have intervened when the decision to weigh in on the tragedy was made.
