Six Individuals Detained After 12 Million Euro Armed Raid on Precious Metals Facility in France

A group of six individuals equipped with military-grade weapons employed explosives to force entry into a precious metals processing plant located in the city of Lyon, slightly injuring five workers during what is being called the latest high-profile daylight theft to occur in France.

The bold operation occurred on Thursday afternoon, with law enforcement authorities swiftly apprehending the individuals believed responsible and recovering the stolen goods valued at approximately €12 million (£10.5 million), as stated by authorities.

Five staff members of the gold refining company were slightly hurt due to the explosion, and three individuals required hospital checks for examination, the regional prefecture announced. A total of twenty-eight staff were inside the facility when the robbers attacked.

The suspects, considered experienced criminals, were taken into custody soon afterwards in the neighboring community of Vénissieux, authorities revealed.
