FC Barcelona Set to Play First Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend

Barça revealed they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in La Liga over two years since relocating to allow renovations to start.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. The club said finished work included a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.

Preparatory Events

Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou in early November. The club said they are seeking authorization from Uefa to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt in December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
