Administration Condemns 'Democratic Hoax' as Further Epstein Estate Images Released
House Democrats have published a additional set of what they labeled "troubling" images from the property of adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, featuring among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The opening batch of 19 images—a portion of which have been previously circulated—along with another 70 released later on Friday account for a small number of the approximately 100,000 images released to the House investigative panel, which is probing the behavior and associations of Epstein.
The disgraced financier died by an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York jail cell in 2019 after being charged with sex-trafficking crimes.
Prominent Personalities in the Photos
Featured among the notable figures seen in the opening set are public figures including film director Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, creator of the Virgin conglomerate.
Donald Trump is pictured in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is seen with six women, whose faces are redacted.
Administration Statement
The White House responded to the release in a official comment, charging Democrats of purposefully "cherry-picking" the pictures for electoral motives and to "attempt to fabricate a false storyline."
"The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked," a White House spokesperson said, maintaining that "the current government has done more for Epstein's victims than Democrats have ever done by consistently demanding transparency, disclosing reams of records, and demanding more inquiries into Epstein's liberal connections."
Democratic Lawmaker Comment
The photos were released devoid of explanation, but per a Democratic representative from California and ranking member of the investigative panel, they prompt further inquiries about Epstein's associations with affluent people.
"It is time to end this White House obfuscation and deliver justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his well-connected allies," he declared in a comment.
The disclosure of these images coincides with the House panel pressing on with its inquiry into the Epstein case.
